Saddle Goose is an old 19th century term that was used to define someone as a fool. When our winemaker Adam was making wine in other more famous wine regions, people would question whether the UK could even grow grapes. Sometimes even those from the UK! Along the road there have been many who thought we were foolish to make more natural styles English wine, but once you try Saddle Goose, there's no going back!

We are a small boutique wine company passionate about English grapes.
Pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, we blend ancestral winemaking techniques and modern thinking, to create exciting and surprising wines made with minimal intervention.
Ever committed to protecting our environment, we seek out grapes from growers who promote healthy soils, by adopting regenerative viticulture techniques. We use eco-glass, sustainable labels, recycled packing and paper products and use almost zero chemicals in the winery.

We hold tattoo fundraising events for the British Waterfowl Association (BWA) and are committed to donating 5% of our annual profits.
The BWA are an association of enthusiasts who are dedicated to the education and conservation of waterfowl, as well as to raising the standards of waterfowl kept in captivity.
